Diablo IV's Public Beta Will Start in early 2023

In the next weeks, Blizzard hopes to invite some of its most devoted fans to play Diablo IV. On Monday, the company revealed details about its planned end game closed beta test. Blizzard will pick players who have recently spent "substantial" time with the post-story experiences offered in Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo III using "particular gameplay data."

If that describes you, you may let the studio know you want to participate in the beta by enabling the "News and Special Offers from Battle.net" option on your account by October 11th. Once that's done, check your inbox for an invite from Blizzard.

When the beta is released, it will be accessible on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PS4, with support for cross-platform play and advancement. If you are unable to participate in this round of testing, Blizzard has said that public testing will begin early next year.

For a variety of reasons, the future beta will concentrate on Diablo IV's endgame experience. Blizzard claims it doesn't want to give away the game's plot until it's released. The choice also reflects the way many gamers love Diablo games. You should not expect to hear from people who participated in the closed beta. Blizzard stated that the event will be "secret," a not-so-subtle reference to the fact that Diablo IV video leaked over the weekend.
