How to Install Fonts in Windows 10

This writing will show you ways to easily manage fonts in Windows 10 you are using on your laptop. The process is relatively effortless if you follow our following instructions. You may know that there is a built-in font management system in the Windows Control panel. If you do not know it, it is time to explore and make the best of this system.

Take a look at the guidelines below to see how you find, add, and remove fonts in Windows.

1. Go to the Windows Control Panel.

2. Choose Appearance and Personalization.

3. Select Fonts at the bottom

From here, you can see fonts pre-installed on your system. You also can add or remove those fronts that you do not need anymore. If you want to add a font, simply drag the font file into the font window. In case you want to delete unnecessary fonts, you just need to right-click the chosen font and then click Delete.

Install fonts by using drag and drop

You also have another way to finish the process manually. The method we want to mention is the drag-and-drop method which requires two open windows.

Step 1: Download your font in a zip file as in the instructions above and then extract it if necessary.

Step 2: Go to the search box on the taskbar, type Control Panel, and click the corresponding result.

Step 3: When the Control Panel opens, continue navigating to Appearance and Personalization, and choose Fonts in the main window.

Step 4: Drag your new font from File Explorer into the font window. A progress bar will appear as it’s installed. After finishing the last step, you can use the font immediately.
