TikTok may soon make it easier to revisit videos you've already seen. TikTok is testing a watch history tool that would allow viewers to see a list of videos that appeared in their For You stream. According to Hammond Oh, a Twitter user noted for unearthing new features social media firms are working on behind the scenes. The program would essentially allow you to rediscover clips that you may have missed in a hurry or by accident.
As TechCrunch points out, there are already methods for browsing your TikTok watch history, but they're not particularly user-friendly or accessible. Go to the Discover page, press search, input an asterisk, and then toggle on the "view videos" option under the search filters tab. On the other hand, the watch history function would be more readily available via the app's settings section.
It's unknown how many individuals have access to the test right now and when (and if) TikTok intends to push out the tool to its larger user base. When Engadget contacted the firm, they refused to share any information regarding the feature. "We're always thinking about innovative ways to add value to our community and enhance the TikTok experience," a company spokeswoman stated.
